Workplace Mediation
Workplace Mediation is a way of resolving disputes in the workplace. Usually these arise as an issue between an employer and employee, or between two members of staff.
How Workplace Mediation works
The Mediator acts as a neutral person who will speak with both sides of the dispute with the aim of trying to resolve the issues and get those involved to reach an agreement on a way forward.

In advance of the mediation, we will speak with both sides to ensure they understand what Workplace Mediation involves. We will arrange a suitable location for the mediation (include use of video conferencing if preferred) and invite those involved to set out to us, on a confidential basis, what they see as the major issues.
On the day the mediator will speak with those involved separately, to get a full understanding of the concerns and then will use their experience to see if there is a possible resolution – either by going back and forth between the parties or having a controlled joint meeting.
Ideally a conclusion will be reached with an agreement made to resolve an issue or a way forward in the future. If not resolution is reached the parties remain at liberty to exercise their full rights.
When to use Workplace Mediation?
The sooner the better. Workplace Mediation has exceptional high success rates in resolving a workplace dispute. However, it is always easier to try to resolve a problem as soon as it arises. An employer can offer Workplace Mediation to their staff as soon as they become aware of a problem or after their own efforts to resolve the issue have not been successful.
Why use a Workplace Mediation Service?
Ongoing problems with staff can cause real harm to a business. It affects morale (and not just the morale of those directly involved, but also other employees and managers affected) and ultimately causes harm to productivity and profits.
Workplace Mediation can resolve the issues to help a happier workplace and avoid the biggest concern – an Employment Tribunal Claim.
